The bell rang on the 10am mark, indicating that it's our recess time. As usual, students rush down to the canteen to avoid long queues, and i was one of them. Well i couldn't be bothered with long queues but just that i wanted to get back to class quick. My first choice would usually be the green plate store, so i'll keep a lookout for my friends at the front of the queue, hoping that they will allow me to cut the queue. For your information, i've been cutting queues almost every recess and the success rate is 99%. There was wincoln at the front, so he unwillingly let me into the queue, but just as i was about to place my order, some assholes at the back made noises that seemed like complaints to the store auntie. Bleah, the auntie just told me "好心你啦!" It's quite obvious that the auntie wasn't pleased with my actions, but i just let wincoln placed his orders first, and hope eventually the auntie would let me purchase my food. Well here comes the unexpected part, the store uncle, who was cooking up at the back, stared at me and SHOUTED "要插队的到后面排队!" His tone was so demonic that almost everyone thats queueing up in other stores shifted their attention to the green plate store, to me. I seriously don't understand, why is there a need to shout at me, when cases of cutting queues are so prevalent. Now you make me the pioneer, and now i'm famous, heard from darren that now almost the whole school knows. So now my reputation is tarnished. It was really freaking humiliating, that i went to the store at the other end to buy "loh mai kai" and went back to class.
Come to think of it, i'm just rather glad i didn't talk back to that uncle. In most of the recent famous incidents in hwachong, the fault always seems to be pushed to the person who retaliate. Zenghao took most of the responsibility despite getting punched by a korean. Or let's say the recent bus 170 thingy, whereby a jc1 student got pissed with the driver and resorted to violence. All in all what i'm trying to say is that, people who engender sparks into the situation usually get away scot-free, while those who are provoked shoulder the blame. Assuming that i talked back to the uncle, i'll be quite sure the discipline master will be aware of it, then the principal, and what awaits me would be parents call-up and maybe suspension. Furthermore, i would have to write yet another apology letter (i've already written one lately regarding the use of library emergency exit). Seriously, i don't think it's any fucking big deal to cut a queue, although it's morally wrong. Plus, i don't think you have any rights to yell at any students, not as if i killed your parents (if you have any), so please refrain from raising your voice at me unless you're that narrow-minded. Well, this accounts for the remaining 1%...
